POSITION:
Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering Technology
10-Month, Tenure Track Position
ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE:
August 25, 2010
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and four years’ college teaching experience, or eight years work –related experience, or a combination of 2 years teaching experience and 4 years work related experience.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position. They must also provide appropriate references. Exceptions to the degree requirements may be made for compelling reasons.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Division Director, the Assistant Professor will teach laboratory courses in electrical engineering technology. Performance of other duties associated with teaching in a community college is expected. Within applicable contractual provisions, teaching faculty and non-teaching professional staff are committed to the operation of the college five days a week, which may include evenings, Saturdays or Sundays.
MINIMUM SALARY:
$50,019 annual approximate, plus excellent medical insurance, retirement and related fringe benefits.
