Miss Connecticut to Work with Naugatuck Valley Community College’s Kids on Campus
Waterbury, Conn. – Newly crowned Miss
Connecticut 2009, Sharalynn Kuziak, is working with Naugatuck
Valley Community College’s Kids on Campus program to coach
local youths, grades 6-10, in designing fashion and runway modeling.

Kuziak will assist instructor Natalie Testa, whose
Ragtime boutique is the wardrobe sponsor for Miss Connecticut,
by modeling dresses and emphasizing the importance
of designs and alterations in context. She will also
coach students in choreographing and modeling for the
program’s end-of-the-week fashion show.
Sharalynn, 22, Southington, became Miss Connecticut 2009 on June 27 at the Garde
Arts Center in New London. She also received the overall fitness and interview
awards.
Sharalynn is a 2009 cum laude graduate of Quinnipiac University with a degree
in legal studies and a minor in music. She is also a member of Lambda Epsilon
Chi Honor Society and has received many awards for her leadership and citizenship.
She wants to create a legacy of accessibility and visibility as Miss Connecticut
2009.
