Short Sales and Foreclosures Course at Naugatuck Valley Community College, April 30

Waterbury, Conn. - Naugatuck Valley Community College is offering a non-credit short sales and foreclosure course from 6-9:00 pm on Thursday, April 30. The course is geared toward real estate agents, homeowners and homebuyers who would like to learn more about short sales and foreclosures in light of recent changes in the real estate market.

Taught by Attorney Patrick Maloney of Maloney and Atkins, LLC in Waterbury, the course will cover:

• identifying property that may be eligible for a short sale application
• title searches for short sale property
• reviewing court foreclosure files
• servicer vs. holder of the note
• dealing with a foreclosing attorney
• getting the short sale approved
• closing and adjustments.
