March events calendar for NVCC

WATERBURY (Feb. 25, 2008) – The following is a calendar of events for Naugatuck Valley Community College, which serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury:

MONDAY, MARCH 10
Naugatuck Valley Community College is offering free hour-long information sessions and campus tours on Mon., March 10, for those interested in learning more about how its course offerings can help advance their careers through additional training and degree programs.

The sessions will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in Kinney Hall, Room K505, on the college’s main campus, which is located at 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury off exit 18 on Interstate 84.  No appointment is necessary.  For more information, call (203) 575-8040.

MONDAY, MARCH 24
Naugatuck Valley Community College is holding “Career Fair 2008” on Mon., March 24, to give its students and alumni the chance to meet with employers from around the state that are looking to fill vacancies.

Representatives from the health care, public safety, finance, engineering, landscaping, hospitality and manufacturing sectors will be on hand to answer questions and collect résumés.  There will also be several workshops held throughout the day on résumé writing, cover letters, interviewing etiquette and career planning, which are free but require registration.
