| NVCC Honors Night 2007 held May 22
WATERBURY (May 23, 2007) — On Tuesday, May 22, Naugatuck Valley Community College held its annual Honors Night, which spotlights achievements throughout the year by both graduating and returning students.
In addition to scholarships and awards for academic excellence, the ceremony included memorial scholarships and industry awards that recognize students of distinction.
In all, about 90 awards and scholarships were awarded at Honors Night, including the President-to-President Scholarship, which is based on academic achievement and covers full tuition for the final two years at a four-year university campus.
In addition to students who received awards and scholarships, as well as their family members, the event was attended by college staff and members of the local business community involved with the industry awards.
NVCC serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury. Its 110-acre, main campus is located off exit 18 on Interstate 84.
