February arts calendar for NVCC

WATERBURY (Jan. 15, 2007) — The following is the February arts calendar for Naugatuck Valley Community College, which serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury:

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 28

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, the Genesis II theater company at Naugatuck Valley Community College will present the first of four nights of “Tropical Blues,” a play about women trying to survive after being released from prison.

The play, written by NVCC professor William H. Foster, will begin at 8 p.m. in the Playbox Theatre on NVCC’s main campus, located at 750 Chase Parkway. Additional performances will be held March 1-3. Due to the subject matter, the play contains some content for mature audiences only. Tickets are $10. For information or reservations, call (203) 596-8612.
