NVCC Marketing Office wins top honors

WATERBURY (Nov. 17, 2006) — Naugatuck Valley Community College has received the gold medallion award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) for the design of NVCC’s Fall 2006 continuing education catalog, “Learning.”

NVCC’s Office of College Marketing received the award at the annual District 1 conference for NCMPR, held Nov. 5-7 in Lancaster, Pa.

NCMPR is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges and includes members who are marketing and public relations professionals from community colleges across the country. NCMPR’s District 1 includes the Eastern United States from Maine to the District of Columbia, as well as the Maritime Provinces of Canada.

In 2003, the office won a silver medallion award in District 1 for the design of a billboard that prominently featured five NVCC students.

Located off exit 18 on Interstate 84, NVCC offers more than 100 associate degrees and credit certificates, as well as hundreds of non-credit programs. It serves 35 communities across western Connecticut from Litchfield to Waterbury to Seymour to Southbury and Danbury.
