Mauricio Pita-Goncalves, a 2009 graduate of the visual and performing arts theatre and dance program at Naugatuck Valley Community College, and former vice-president of the College’s Student Government Association, was accepted into Yale University's 2009 Summer Conservatory for Actors at the Yale School of Drama.

Maria Arcari was born in Ecuador and came to the United States when she was 18 years old. Fluent in Spanish and English, she has lived and experienced the American and Latino cultures as part of her everyday life.

Natalie is the owner of a 26 year old business, Ragtime Boutique in Watertown, which she purchased in 1999. Her business serves as the official wardrobe sponsor to Miss Connecticut, to whom she has donated several gowns and outfits throughout the years, as well as helping to prepare Miss Connecticut for the Miss America Pageant.

Senator Kane, a long-time resident of Watertown, was elected to represent the 32nd Senatorial District in a special election on January 15, 2008 and was re-elected in November 2008.

John Fusco, accomplished Hollywood screenwriter, credits Naugatuck Valley Community College with the start of his successful career.

Chris graduated in 1997 from Amity High School in Woodbridge before attending Naugatuck Valley Community College, where he took an associate degree in general studies in 1999. At the College, he was the editor-in-chief of The Tamarack and a member of the Student Senate.

Florin Ion Firimita is a visual artist, teacher, author and filmmaker who traces his interest in art back to his father’s modest amateur photo lab in Bucharest, Romania, where he was entrusted with mixing chemicals, developing lm and printing black-and-white photos at the age of six.
